Written by Alex William Smith (aka Celebrity Hypnotist Jonathan Royle), IMPOSTER is an explosive, two-volume encyclopaedic exposé that uncovers the jaw-dropping lies, manipulations, and unlawful actions of Rupert Murdoch’s infamous undercover journalist, Mazher Mahmood, better known as "The Fake Sheikh."
With over 1,400 pages between the two volumes of meticulously researched evidence, eyewitness accounts, and chilling revelations, these encyclopaedic books dive deep into the dark world of unethical journalism, exposing the devastating consequences of Mahmood’s fabricated stories and often illegal methods.
Mind Magician Alex William Smith aka Celebrity Hypnotist Jonathan Royle takes you on the deepest and most comprehensive exploration of former News of the World, Sunday Times & Sun on Sunday Journalist The infamous Fake Sheik.
Mahmood was sensationally exposed as a Liar and manipulator of evidence when the Drugs Court Trial of British pop star Tulisa Contostavlos collapsed in July 2014 when the Judge Alistair McCreath told Southwark Crown Court, he thought that prosecution witness Mazher Mahmood had lied in giving evidence.
On Wednesday 12th November 2014 after numerous attempts by Mazher Mahmood to stop it being shown, BBC Television's Panorama documentary series broadcast "The Fake Sheikh Exposed" revealing many of the dishonest & arguably illegal techniques he used in the creation, manipulation & fabrication of his alleged public interest stories over the years.
29th September 2015 it was reported that Mahmood was being charged for Conspiracy to Pervert the Course of Justice in the trial of Tulisa Contostavlos alongside his driver Alan Smith.
5th October 2016 the jury unanimously found Mahmood Guilty and on 21st October 2016 Mazher Mahmood aka the 'Fake Sheikh' was jailed for 15 months after the Undercover reporter was sentenced after being found guilty of tampering with evidence in the collapsed drug trial of Tulisa Contostavlos.
The author Royle Hypnotist was in court to see Mahmood sentenced and sent to jail, he himself having become a victim of Mahmood's dishonesty, Lies & Illegal activities and actions back in 1998 when an attempt by Royle to expose Mahmood's dishonesty spectacularly backfired on him as explained fully on www.circusofthemind.net leading to him in early 1999 being given two Six Month Prison Sentences to run concurrently for delivery of counterfeit coins to another, namely The Fake Sheikh Mahmood.
Following his release from Prison, Royle finished writing his autobiography up to the year 2000 and within this and via the UK National Media he then exposed his time (1993 to 1998 inclusive) as Britain's Biggest Ever Media Prankster and Television Show Hoaxer which all led up to his attempt and desire to expose what he had heard were the dishonest methods used by Mahmood in the formulation of his stories.
Little did Royle know that in fact Mahmood seemingly had a total disregard for Laws, Rules & Regulations and instead the evidence now shows routinely Lied, fabricated false evidence, used Illegal Phone Hacking & Unlawful Information Gathering (UIG) along with the unlawful use of Private Investigators & Covert Surveillance methods when all these things were in reality most certainly not in the public interest and thus were in turn rendered illegal.
On 30th September 2022, Royle in his birth name of Alex William Smith filed legal proceedings against News Group Newspapers for Mahmoods alleged dishonest, unlawful & illegal actions against him. NGN effectively silenced him in November 2024 with a Part 36 offer the likes of which they have used to stop well over a thousand claimants to date getting to air their evidence in court.
